Icon14 NVC - $400 IV Processing Fee paid...what now?

Hi Everyone,

I'm petitioning for my husband (benificiary). I'm in the US Virgin Islands and he's in Dominica. We're at the point where we have to pay the Immigration Visa processing fee. We've been holding out on paying it because we are saving for the money needed to travel to the designated embassy in Barbados. I just wanted to get something straight first.

QUESTION 1: After we pay the IV processing fee? What happens? Is that when they schedule our interview or is there information that I have to send to the NVC?

I've also been trying to figure out how much days are usually spent in the country where we'll be getting his medical examination and having the interview. I need to know so I can figure out how much leave I need to take off from work.

QUESTION 2: How long does it take to the medical examination and the interview?

Your swift and useful answers will be greatly apreciated.

What happens after you pay the IV processing fee is that your husband applies for the visa.

See the information at the link that Tracy gave you.
