How can I find out my case number from NVC?
You can call NVC on (603) 334-0700. You will then be given language options; press 1 for English and then option 5 to speak with an operator. Operators are available from 7:30 AM to 12:30 AM (EST) Monday through Friday. You will need your CIS receipt number (from your NOA2). They will then ask you for various information, such as beneficiary's name etc. to confirm your identity.
You can also email the NVC at
NVCINQUIRY@state.gov When emailing put the CIS receipt number in the subject box.
example:
Subject/Title Box - CIS Receipt No. VSCXXXXXXXXXX
Include in the body of the email-
Beneficiary's full name and Date of Birth
Petitioners full name and Date of Birth
Address and phone number of petitioner
